Watch: During the DRS review, Rohit Sharma lashes out at the cameraperson. This Is The Cause
On the opening day of the fourth Test match between India and England in Ranchi on Friday, Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma was clearly displeased with the cameraman as the enormous screen continued to display him during a DRS review. The incident occurred after Ravindra Jadeja struck hitter Ben Foakes on his pads, but the umpire ruled it not-out. Rohit then requested a DRS review. The India captain expressed his annoyance and requested that the camera operator go to the replay while the review was taking place, but Rohit continued to appear on the enormous screen. On social media, the full incident’s footage has gone viral.
Meanwhile, Joe Root hit an unbeaten 106 to lead England’s recovery from early trouble after Indian fast bowler Akash Deep took three wickets on debut in the fourth Test on Friday.
England, who are fighting to stay alive at 2-1 down in the five-match series, reached stumps at 302-7 after electing to bat first in Ranchi.
After scoring just 77 runs in his previous six innings, Root recovered his form and put on a 113-run stand with wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes, who made 47, as the tourists fell to 112-5.
With the dismissal of Foakes by Mohammed Siraj, the partnership was broken, but former captain Root held strong and, at the end of play, had Ollie Robinson, who was on 31, for company in an unbeaten stand of 57.
